Owls authority Lee Strafford backs Sheffield Wednesday to kick Crystal Palace - and the dump

Sheffield Wednesday authority Lee Strafford has corroborated his side to "take carry out of their destiny" on Sunday in their one-off relegation decider opposite Crystal Palace.

Palace - who, after carrying 10 points deducted for going in to administration, distortion only dual points forward of the last relegation place assigned by the Owls - could have ensured their presence had they knocked about promoted West Brom on Monday night.

Their 1-1 pull equates to Wednesday can keep their Coca-Cola Championship standing should they kick the Eagles on Sunday, and Strafford is optimistic.

"Last night was Palace"s big chance," he said, "and Sunday becomes the event to have the symbol and carry out the destiny.

"Our home form has not been great at times but when we spin up in large numbers we broach performances. It"s a one-off game, effectively it"s only similar to the play-off last 4 years ago."
